We all want our relationships with people at work to be more productive. Yet so much gets in the way - competition, history, and personalities, to name just a few.

We have to work at respecting the inner spiritual core of someone else that is trying to find greater expression in the world, just like our own inner core. This work releases the tensions of past judgments and dislikes from the equation.

By giving the other person's inner core that same respect we give our own, the outcome is always greater trust and productivity.

Think of some people you work with now - above, below and alongside you, including your customers or suppliers - and plot each of them on the graph. First the x-axis. Plot your willingness to trust by giving him or her the freedom to be all they can at their spiritual core? Then plot the y-axis - the productivity of the relationship. Be specific. Do you consciously give them the freedom to be all they can be at your inner core?

Look at the balance in the quality of your connections. The more relationships you can have that are in the "Fulfilling" category, the better.

Would making the decision to fully honor the spiritual core in others improve relationships for you? And improve productivity?

It's your job.
