The Educational Programs Committee of the Yale Alumni Association of New York is thrilled to present Dr. Mahzarin R. Banaji. Register now for a memorable encounter with a leading scholar in social psychology at: http://drbanaji-socialpsychology.eventbrite.com/.

Dr. Banaji was Director of Undergraduate Studies at Yale for many years, and is currently Head Tutor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard. Among her awards, she has received Yale's Lex Hixon Prize for Teaching Excellence, the James McKeen Cattell Fund Award, the Morton Deutsch Award for Social Justice, and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. Dr. Banaji's research addresses social ethics, social engagement, prejudice, stereotypes, and emotions. Her distinguished research sheds light on how human beings navigate the social world. Dr. Banaji will reflect on her academic passions, the questions that animate her, and the subjects that she has tackled and the challenges she has confronted in pursuit of unconscious thought and the inner workings of the mind. Her lecture will address her research on the "social consequences of unconscious thought" and her investigation of the "implications of her work for questions of individual responsibility and social justice in democratic societies."

This event is open to the general public. All are welcome, but space is strictly limited and pre-registration is required. Register now to secure your spot!
