San Damiano Retreat is offering the possibility of making an 8 day silent Retreat with Fr. Cyprian.

This will follow his weekend retreat July 29-31 and deepen the topic begun.

The Host and the Guest: Unity Achieved will be based on the teachings of Joseph Chu-Cong OSCO's - Five Stages of Meditation.

There are various stages we go through in the spiritual life as we grow in self-knowledge and unitive knowledge of God. We see our understanding of God change even as we understand ourselves more, but seldom stop to realize that they are part of the same growth. Yet, the question of union with God is the basic issue of most of our spiritual traditions. We shall trace over the course of five days one suggested pattern of spiritual growth, based on the Christian monastic tradition and the teaching of a 9th century Zen Master. The Host and the Guest retreat will also include prayer, chanting and singing, and several guided meditation sessions.
