New York Philomusica winds up the 2009-10 season with a concert of beloved masterpieces by the great Franz Schubert. Using some of classical musics traditional favorites to showcase the superb artistry of the ensembles core musicians, the ensemble also welcomes a new voice and ventures back into the realm of song for the first time since 2006. The New York Philomusica hopes you will join us for this final concert of the season, which is sure to be a crowd pleaser, while upholding the finest standard of musicianship for which the ensemble has become known.

The New York Philomusica is pleased to announce that soprano Korliss Uecker will join the ensemble for the first time this April. A frequent performer at the Metropolitan Opera and on the worldwide operatic stage, Ms. Uecker has an extensive resume of orchestral engagements and recordings. The Financial Times (London) acclaimed that "Korliss Uecker, a bright and pretty American soprano, was charming, crystalline of voice and sparkling as an actress." The Baltimore Sun has lauded "her creamy soprano and artful characterization" and the Pittsburgh Press has noted her "glittering coloratura."
