Hugo Perez (CC93) latest short film 'Julieta y Ramon' will have its world premiere at the 2005 New York Latino Film Festival as part of the Sexual Tension Shorts Program. Synopsis Julieta's erotic fascination for Ronald Reagan keeps her from finding Mr.Right. Through the intervention of Mima, her downstairs neighbor, she reluctantly is introduced to Mima’s son Ramon. Ramon is a shoestore manager who has his own particular fascination, a fascination for feet. Can this odd couple find a way to satisfy each other's needs? Julieta y Ramon is a darkly comic spanish-language fable in the tradition of Almodovar. It is a film that relishes all of the quirkiness of Hispanic culture. It features an original nuevo tango score by Cuban composer Onel Mulet. NOTE: An additional screening of the shorts program will be held on Thursday, July 28th at 3:00pm at the Lighthouse Theater Additional Info/Contact: For more info. contact: This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript |
