The Association of Asian American Yale Alumni (www.aaaya.org), in conjunction with the Noguchi Museum, has arranged for a private tour of the Museum which is located in Long Island City. This Museum, conceived and built by Japanese American artist Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988), is one of the few artist-created museums in the world. The Museum presents a comprehensive collection of the artist's works in stone, metal, wood, and clay, as well as models for public projects and gardens, dance sets, and Akari Light Sculptures. It is housed in thirteen galleries within a converted factory building and encircles a garden containing major granite and basalt sculptures. One of his projects, which our tour will focus on, was the sunken garden outside of Yales Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. The cost for this tour is $12 per person and will begin at 11:00AM on Sunday, August 16. Please write your check to The Noguchi Museum and mail it to Ms. Patricia N. Takemoto, Friedman & Wittenstein, 600 Lexington Avenue, NY, NY 10022. Checks must be received by Friday, August 14. There is a 50 person limit for this tour.

For directions and transportation to the Museum, please see the museum website at noguchi.org.
